In 2015, I graduated with a degree in Journalism BA Honours from the University of Huddersfield. I have been cultivating a portfolio of work on the film industry, working with Lost Culture, Film Inquiry and also my own blog, Above the Line.
I have begun compiling a vast range of interview subjects, including; 'Canaries: Low Cost, High Quality' - an indy horror film that has utilised it's minimal budget and compelling narrative to attract some of the biggest names in the film industry, 'The Journey: Carpool Politics' - an interview with director, Nick Hamm and writer, Colin Bateman, 'The Wider Scope: An Interview with Cinematographer, Natasha Braier' whose body of work includes; The Neon Demon, The Rover & XXY. I also engaged in a series of articles with BAFTA in 2016 on their Rising Star and Shorts Nominees for their annual film awards.
As an advocate of promoting both cinema and buying blu-rays and associated products, I currently run a collaboration with HMV Huddersfield and also, with a few of my local cinemas both chain and independent like Hyde Park Picture House. I hope to garner this further and become a regular attendee of some of the film festivals both in the UK and around the world.
